The wind and rain on Saturday morning certainly had a detrimental effect on the Steps2Health group as only half the usual number turned up for the weekly walk. But the hardy 16 found the sight of rough seas and scurrying clouds quite exhilarating (writes B.S.). The group stayed together as far as The Green, which they reached via Augustus Place. The Steady Eddies, with Brian, Erica and Janice, cut through Merlins Gardens to The Norton and on to Church House to join the coffee morning being held by Tenby Handbell Ringers to raise money for the restoration of the bells. The faster group, with Val and Barbara, did a wider circle around the town. It was uphill as they reached Narberth Road via Broadwell Hayes. Then down to the doctors' surgery and up onto the Croft. Down the 'cardiac' steps to the North Walk and along to the harbour before returning back into town to join the coffee morning and be tempted by an array of homemade cakes. The group hopes for better weather tomorrow (Saturday) to be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery around Llys-y-Fran with its stunning views of the Preselis. To find out if there are any vacancies on the minibus leaving Tenby 10 am ring Val 843951. Drivers meet in the carpark 10.45 approx. Coffee will be in the cafe.
