Club Sailing
Storm Brian put paid to sailing last weekend.
Tata Regatta
The weekend of November 4/5 sees the annual Tata regatta at Port Talbot. Several dinghies from the club are planning to attend; open to all; come racing on a pond!
Junior training
The club was buzzing on Wednesday evening, full of youngsters and parents for the end of season party and presentation of certificates and prizes. Food was served first, followed by the presentations and then desserts, which included a chocolate fountain which proved very popular.
Chief instructor Blake thanked everyone for their help during the season, in particular the main sailing instructors Howard, Alistair and Jo. Also helping were Martin, Matt and the assistant instructors Noah, Harrison, Max and Bethan.
Jason, Ieuan and Jon helped with the power boat training and running the safety boats and the many parents who helped with the preparation, launching and recovery of boats: Chris with the tractor. A massive team of volunteers who made the training possible.
All the sessions finished with a BBQ and Terry and team had a special thank you.
Ed and Ieuan were thanked for keeping the five RIBS in good order; essential for the running of the training.

Trophies and prizes awarded to: Maerwen James - Under 13 Honda Youth Wales runner-up; Lewis James - Honda Youth over 13 represented Wales at Southampton; Best attendance 10 and under - Thea Arentz, Felix Buckley; Over 11 years - Max Richards.
Junior Regatta - Overall winners on handicap were Oscar Thompson and Luke Subbiani-Shaw in a Feva, with James Goodwin-Close and Brynley Moore in Lasers joint second.
Best helpers - Harrison Richards, Ioan Thompson.
Best traveller - Ioan and Oscar Thompson.
Advance notice of the junior Christmas party on Friday, December 1, 7 pm start.
Club Dinner and Prizegiving
Friday, November 17, at The Giltar Hotel, Tenby. Dinner, prizegiving, live band and dancing. Tickets £25 per head. See website for menu and get your choices with payment to the Commodore as soon as possible and certainly before the end of this month.
Opening hours
The club is open lunch times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and evenings on Friday and Saturday from 5.30 pm. Pop in to enjoy a drink in the best location in town!
