Meat draw
Winners of the Whitland Sports and Social Club meat draw this week were as follows: 1. £15 meat voucher - Huw Jones; 2. £15 meat voucher - P. Wilson; 3. two pints - Derek Morgan; 4. £5 - Harry James (not present).
Tomorrow (Saturday), the first three prizes will be the same again, with the fouth being £10.
financial assistance
Any organisations wishing to apply for financial assistance from Whitland Town Council should send a letter detailing why they require the assistance, an up-to-date bank statement, balance sheet and profit and loss account, to Mrs. Jenny Davies-Scourfield, town clerk, 5 Trevaughan Lodge Road, Whitland (tel. 01994 241079) by March 20.
COUNCILLOR'S SURGERY
County Councillor Sue Allen will be holding a surgery in the Hywel Dda Interpretive Centre, Whitland, at 9.30 am, on Saturday, March 7. Please telephone 01994 240036, or just drop in during the morning.
Cricket Club
Last week's winner of the 49 Club was Rob Lee with number 44.
The next committee meeting will be held at Whitland RFC on Wednesday, March 18, at 8 pm.
Memorial Hall
Weightwatchers is held at the Memorial Hall every Monday evening at 6 pm.
Rugby Club
Don't forget, tonight (Friday) at the club you can see the France v Wales Six Nations clash live on the big screen.
The night will also have an 'Allo Allo' fancy dress theme, with a £25 meal voucher for best couple and a bottle of whisky for best solo.
Free food will be served from 7 pm and there will also be beer promotions.
On the playing front, tomorrow (Saturday), Whitland 2nd XV are home to Llandovery, while the Youth are away to Pembroke Dock Quins Youth. Both games are due to kick-off at 2.30 pm.
There's also a fixture on Sunday, when Whitland Ladies are away to UW Newport, also with a 2.30 pm kick-off.
The next committee meeting is on Wednesday, March 4, at 7 pm.
