Flying at Swansea: Four cadets are to attend the Gliding School in Swansea. It is hoped they will carry out the first lesson in the basic GIC. This will lead on to Gliding Scholarship Wings training, the course content including aircraft flight time/glider launches. Courses can be taken either over successive weekends until completed, or as a continuous week-long course (usually in the summer). Course time can vary due to progress and the weather. Typically, in summer, a course will take three weekends to complete.
