Film-on-Sunday’s 2015 season continues with Whiplash, showing this Sunday, November 1, at 7.30 pm, in the Queen’s Hall, Narberth.
Andrew Neyman is an ambitious young jazz drummer, single-minded in his pursuit to rise to the top of his elite east coast music conservatory. Terence Fletcher (JK Simmons), an instructor equally known for his teaching talents as for his terrifying methods, leads the top jazz ensemble in the school. Andrew’s passion to achieve perfection quickly spirals into obsession, as his ruthless teacher continues to push him to the brink of both his ability-and his sanity. Whiplash won three Oscars including Best Supporting Actor for JK Simmons.
Doors open at 7 pm for you to enjoy homemade puddings, tea and coffee with wine and beer available from the bar. A selection of DVDs from the Film-on-Sunday extensive library are available for two-week rental periods free of charge. The Queen’s Hall is equipped with the very latest DVD projection equipment and there is comfortable tiered seating for the perfect viewing experience.
Film-on-Sunday’s 2015/2016 season of films includes an eclectic mix of English speaking and foreign language films being shown at the Queen’s Hall fortnightly through March 2016.
