PEMBROKESHIRE Federation of Women's Institutes’ Annual General Meeting welcomed many varied speakers including the First Minister for Wales Eluned Morgan.

The First Minister gave an inspiring talk on an interesting day that saw WIs from across the county come together.

Presentations were made in the afternoon for many different competitions which included the WI who had gained most new members. Congratulations go to the winner, Narbelles in Narberth - one of the newest WIs in Pembrokeshire. Also a presentation was made to the retiring trustees.

Anne Fraser was re-elected as Federation Chair, with Kathryn Wilkins and Elizabeth Bearne elected as Vice-Chairs and Sam Wilson-Croft as Federation Treasurer.

PFWI are also busy selling their 2026 calendars. The calendar comprises the winning entries in an annual competition where members enter photos they have taken in the county during the year. With so many wonderful photos, the judging panel found it very difficult to choose the top 12. This year’s overall winner is Jayne Smith.

The calendar team of Sue, Rhian, Eluned and Kathryn work throughout the year to make sure PFWI have a calendar. Many thanks must go to all the sponsorship from local businesses, it is greatly appreciated.

The 2026 calendars are for sale for just £5 each. Email [email protected] or call 01437 768674 and leave a message; PFWI will get back to you.
