With Wales lighting up the Euros with their footballing performances, Pembroke Castle has showed its support for the nation, ahead of the country’s showdown quarter final with Belgium.
The historic landmark has been glowing red since Friday and will continue to be lit up after Wales beat Northern Ireland in the knock out stages of the 2016 European Championships on Saturday.
“We thought it would be a nice way to demonstrate our pride in what the Welsh football team are doing in Euro 2016,” explained the castle’s general manager Jon Williams.
“We’ll keep it lit up every night while they are still in the competition,” he added.
“It looks so amazing and such a focal point for Pembroke, I’m sure Henry Tudor would approve!” said photographer Beverley Thomas who captured this image.
Wales will meet Belgium in Lille on Friday night, with Pembrokeshire’s Joe Allen sure to be one of the players that the country is pinning its hopes on to go all the way in the tournament.
