An open garden tea party was held for British Heart Foundation Cymru by two members of the Narberth BHF fundraising branch. Bryan and Gwenda Mason from Glenview, Princes Gate, opened their garden to raise funds for BHF and raised £527 for British Heart Foundation (BHF) Cymru's Mending Broken Hearts Appeal. Gwenda said: "I wanted to do something for the BHF and decided to open my garden and have a tea party. I would like to say a big thank you to friends and family who helped as well as the Narberth BHF fundraising branch who helped on the day. We had a lovely day and so many walked around the garden and others enjoyed the tea and cakes." Local BHF fundraising and volunteer manager, Jayne Lewis, said: "It was an excellent event. I would like to thank Bryan, Gwenda and family and friends as well as all the members of the Narberth branch who came to help and support it. Nine people will die prematurely every day in Wales from heart and circulatory disease. That is why the work of the BHF is vital and we rely on generous donations of time and money to continue our life-saving work."
