A new community pantomime is being staged in Narberth over Christmas 2009.

It will be similar to the popular productions which were held in the town during the 1980s.

Eager volunteers are sought to take part in the panto or assist in all the backstage preparations.

It will be loosely based on a traditional Christmas favourite, but will be very much local focused humour.

The production is being arranged by local County Councillor Wynne Evans, who says a number of people have already come forward to offer their help.

"I'm delighted that so many are keen to be involved," he said.

The panto will be on for three nights in early December, with the production team consisting of former members of the winter carnival group and Span Arts.
