Learning about how people in other countries enjoy their morning meal is on the menu for 100 local schoolchildren today (Friday).
The day follows the theme of Breakfast Around the World and will offer the chance to taste Pembrokeshire tea-flavoured ice-cream, stuff a Welsh sausage and hear about the healthy uses of honey, as all are being served up to the enthusiastic pupils by local food experts.
International students from Pembrokeshire College will cook up some breakfast specialities, and included in the rich mix of talks, tastings and hands-on sessions will be the chance to decorate a plate on a breakfast theme.
Narberth Food Festival chairman Jackie Palit said: "The Education Day is an important part of the festival, as it gives children a great chance to explore food in a friendly, fun way. And after all, they are the consumers of our future!"
Narberth Food Festival takes place on the Town Moor tomorrow (Saturday) between 10 am and 6 pm and Sunday between 10 am and 4 pm, with stalls, talks, chef demonstrations, masterclasses, children's activities, live music and street entertainment. Admission is £2.50 for over 18s; children free.
