Narberth Museum is hosting a unique and intriguing exhibition of photographs by the dedicated volunteers of the Pembrokeshire Fungus Recording Network.
'Fascinating Fungi of Pembrokeshire' is a collaboration with West Wales Biodiversity Information Centre, who manage over one million species records from the counties of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire and whose work helps to protect and enhance the natural heritage of West Wales.
'Fascinating Fungi of Pembrokeshire' examines one of the least-considered aspects of our diverse ecosystem; exploring our natural history from an alternative view and revealing the often hidden beauty in our landscape. Using different photographic techniques, Mike Crutchley and David Harries have compiled a series of images which will inspire you to look again at this large and diverse group of organisms which are essential for a functioning and healthy environment.
This is one of a number of fungus-related events taking place this autumn to celebrate the first ever UK Fungus Day. Events will take place across the UK, especially on and around the inaugural date of October 13.
