Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club chairman Huw Adams recently presented £2,000 of cheques to four charities as a result of holding the SMTT (Saundersfoot Motorcycle Time Trial) Event back in June at Saundersfoot Harbour.

The event was run by members of the Pembrokeshire Vintage and Classic Motorcycle Club.

The motorcycles completed a time trial traveling at an average speed for the 80 mile course around the picturesque Pembrokeshire National Park. The furthest competitor came from New Zealand.

The Four Charities that benefited were - Wales Air Ambulance, Paul Sartori Foundation, Blood Bikes Wales (Pembrokeshire), and Cariad Defibrillators Wales.

Representatives who received the donations were - Katie Thomas and Rhys Watkins from Wales Air Ambulance; Dr Finley Mackintosh from Paul Sartori Foundation; Elly Morgan and Mike Simon from Blood Bikes Wales (Pembrokeshire).

Unfortunately Cariad defibrillators Wales could not attend on the presentation evening but provided First Aid Cover at the event.
