A moving and impressive World War I diorama has been generously donated to Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre by the modelmaker who created it.
John Whitworth, chairman of Carmarthen Model Club, attended the recent and hugely successful model show at the Heritage Centre - organised by the Penfro Model Club which meets monthly at the centre.
With the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War I a recent memory, John wanted the display to continue and offered it to the Heritage Centre. His work, with that of fellow club members, is already on view at the centre - a depiction of the Second World War seaplane station at Lawrenny.
John is pictured with his diorama, along with Peter Mitchell, one of the organisers of Penfro Model Club’s first-ever show. Peter is also a Heritage Centre volunteer.
So successful was the model show that the next event is already planned for the end of March 2020.
