Gareth Saunders-Swales popped into the Heritage Centre in Pembroke Dock yesterday to promote his new book about the last ship to be built in the Royal Pembroke Dockyard.

‘The Millennium Falcon - The last ship to be built in the Royal Pembroke Dockyard’ tells the story and history behind the building of the Millennium Falcon in Pembroke Dock in 1979 for The Empire Strikes Back, the second film in the ever-popular Star Wars trilogy.

If you are interested in how it all happened, this book includes stories, details and pictures from those involved at all stages: builders, transportation, behind the scenes crew - and even a few actors who shared the screen with it.
