The Mayor of Tenby has praised a television commercial from technology giants Google by putting the seaside town on the map further as such by stating that ‘all roads lead’ to the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Pembrokeshire this holiday season.
The advert which can now be seen on UK tv screens reminds viewers of how search engine Google can help them ‘Make the most of summer’ by seeking out summer activities, with one being the ‘fastest route to Tenby beach’.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Mayor, Clr. Tony Brown told his colleagues that ‘the all roads lead to Tenby’ tagline splashed across the TV screen, while a family take to the road on their car journey, was great for tourism.
“It’s a really good advert, and great how they’ve done it,” he said, with the town clerk Andrew Davies adding that the company had spent a day on the North Beach filming for the advert.
