Members of Tenby RNLI will welcome the public along to another ‘open day’ at the resort’s lifeboat station on Sunday (July 28).
Visitors will be able to tour the station and chat to members of the crew, and there will also be the rare opportunity to take tours around the boat and see all of the kit and technology the crew use out on rescues, making the Tamar lifeboat amongst the most advanced in the RNLI fleet.
At 5 pm the lifeboat will be launched down the slipway and perform a short display before giving visitors a chance to see the boat being recovered either from the viewing gallery inside the station, or from the vantage point up on Castle Hill.
The lifeboat station’s souvenir shop will also be open, selling a range of RNLI goodies, and the popular ‘History of Tenby Lifeboats’ book.
The ‘open day’ will take place from 10 am.
