Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses who may have information about a serious assault in Pembroke.

Sometime between 1 am and 1.20 am on Wednesday, October 31, a 51-year-old man was assaulted, resulting in serious head injuries. He is currently in hospital in a critical condition.

It is thought the victim left the Watermans Arms pub, Northgate Street, at around 1 am and walked to Olivers View via Golden Hill Road and Laugharne Close. He was found unconscious at Olivers View at approximately 1.20 am.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail with conditions.
