Emergency services have attended Penally camp this afternoon (Thursday) to tend to an incident where a member of the public has allegedly been assaulted outside the site.
According to reports from members of a Facebook group that is opposing the repurposing of the MoD facility, a male person was involved in an altercation with a member of the camp’s security staff.
One witness who contacted the Observer said: “My partner looked after him until he regained consciousness.”
A police spokesperson has stated: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a call at 2.45 pm today (Thursday) regarding a man who had sustained an injury outside Penally Asylum Accommodation Centre.
“Ambulance crew are currently at the scene assisting the male casualty.
“Local officers are also in attendance to establish the circumstances around the incident.
