The club racing was cancelled last Sunday; however, the bay saw some intrepid sailors out last Sunday after being cooped up all day Saturday due to the slightly strong winds. They were seen flying across the bay and mostly the correct way up.

Message from the Sailing Captain - the date for the sailing meeting will be January 18, starting at 6.30 pm. A draft agenda will be circulated in the next few days, allowing you all ample time to forward to me any items that you would like to add/discuss. These are to be in by January 11 to give time to finalise.

Junior Sailing

The sailing club hosted the Welsh National Laser squad last weekend. Nine of the top junior Laser sailors were put through their paces by two RYA coaches. The adverse conditions prevented any on-the-water activity on Saturday, but the Olympic hopefuls were able to take advantage of a good wind and long swell on the Sunday. The club is always delighted to hold these events, Tenby is a popular venue with both the sailors and their parents, with the excellent amenities of the club and town close to hand.

The club’s junior training has now finished for the year and will restart next year in the early spring. Please keep your eyes peeled to this space for details. This is a very popular sail training event that is held by the club and is usually oversubscribed so it is a first come first served basis.
