ALPE D’HUEZ TRIATHLON - Ecrins Mountains, France- Andy Adamson took on this spectacular scenic event as the 2.2km swim in Lac Du Verney at 700metrs altitude is out of bounds outside of this triathlon.
Followed by a 118km cycle over 3 Mountain passes – theAlpe de Grand Serre (1235m), Col’D’Ornon (1371m) then the Famous Alpe D’uez (1860m) with its 21 switchbacks which Andy says was absolutely brutal in the heat.
The run was a 20km course of a 3 Laps each 7.3km along the Mountain paths which was tough going but with his support team – Donna James and girls he finished in a great time.
FERRYSIDE – LLANSTEFFAN – FERRYSIDE SWIM: Pip Gardiner coming in Top 10. This is a Charity 2 km Swim from Ferryside across River Towy Estuary to Llansteffan and back.
IRONMAN TALLINN, Estonia – Kes Aleknavcious didthis inaugural event in a great time of 12hrs 18mins. The 3.8km swim took place in Tallinn Bay of the Baltic Sea followed by a 180km cycle started and finished in Freedom Square and took athletes out to Haabersti and the Turisalu Cliffs. The Marathon was a 4 loop course up Toompea Hill where the Estonian Parliament sits back to the Medieval Harbour Area.
SWIM TO THE EDGE GREEN MONSTER 2.5 MILE SWIM at Solva - Tracey Thomas, Vicky Jones and David Kent took on this challenge swimming our of the Solva Estuary to swim around Green Scar Rock and back.
COTSWOLD CLASSIC MIDDLE DISTANCE (HALF IM) - Ceire Merrison 6hrs 27 mins and Kyle Wheeler 5hrs 1 min.
The Cotswold Classic is set in the Picturesque Cotswolds, the Swim is a one lap 1.2 mile in the lake based in the centre of the Ashton Keynes water park.
The 56 mile bike section left the water park and headed out the area on a flat and fast course into some of the Cotswolds most beautiful and quiet villages. A two lap course the most outbound point based at the top of the only real hill on the course – Neils Hill in Hannington Wick. The run was a mixture of tarmac and hard pack pathing for the 13mile run that took in lake side paths as well as local village routes.
BARRY ISLAND 10KM RUN - Pip Gardiner, Meg Williams with Dad Pete.
Meg (aged 13) came 2nd in her age group and 17th female in 44.12min.

SODBURY SPORTIVE, Chipping Sodbury - Jude Bird Duignan on her first Sportive cycling 30 miles at the Saddleback Sodbury Sportive in 2hrs 21mins.
FOREST TRAIL MARATHON RACE, in the Forest of Dean: Mandy Draper.

Tuesday (August 13) - Route 8: (Llanteg and Tavernspite)Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Amroth, Llanteg, Tavernspite, Templeton, Reynalton, Jeffreyston, Broadmoor, Heatherton, Gumfreston, Tenby (approx 25miles). Sweepers Nicky Logan and Simon Stanford .
Thursday (August 15) Route 64 : (Coal Lane, Petrox): TLC, Gumfreston, Heatherton, turn left for St Florence, Dingle lane, turn left onto Coal Lane, rt on Ridgeway to Lamphey, up to Fresh East, turn right down Fresh East Hill, Stackpole, Cowpoo Hill, Petrox, rt at bottom of St Daniels Hill, Pembroke East end, upper Lamphey road and Coast road back to TLC. (approx. 27 miles). Sweepers Andrew Burgess and Pat Swann.
We have three groups - with a sweeper led social group with the intent that no-one gets left behind and all get a ride to suit their abilities. Helmets to be worn on all club rides, front and rear lights recommended. All rides leave Tenby Leisure centre car park at 6 pm.
