Very well done to Andy Adamson on a great ride at the Tour of the Highlands Cycle Sportive this past weekend in the Cairngorm Mountains. Andy rode 316 miles over three days to five ski centres through some of the UK’s most remote countryside, ascending many 20 per cent gradient climbs and steep technical descents through the West Highlands and Grampians. Day one - Glencoe to Pitlochry, day two - Pitlochry to Aviemore/Cairngorm and day three Aviemore to Glencoe. Andy says:“It was three of the best days cycling I’ve ever had going from Glencoe to Pitlochry, then up to Aviemore and back to Glencoe, with a free ride on the Corran ferry. We had spectacular weather (yes, in Scotland, really!), unreal scenery and great riding with a good group.”
Well done to Katherine Devonald Brace who took part in the Llandovery 10-mile time trial at the weekend riding to Llangadog and back. Kath says it was ‘a tough course and very undulating.’
