For our 10th anniversary, the club recently purchased an automated eternal defibrillator for the North Beach, Tenby, and dedicated it to the people of Tenby and visitors.
The housing cabinet was secured by Tony, of the Tenby Saundersfoot First Responders, and we have had a dedication plaque made and secured alongside the unit.
We also donated £250 to Lily Rice, in December, to help her with her trip to America in April for the World Wheelchair Motocross Championships in California. We wish Lily all the best in America - ‘your flipping Ace’!
NARBERTH NIGHT NOBBLER
On Saturday, March 10, members Tracey Thomas, David Poole and Tom Day completed this Orienteering 10km Challenge set in the woods around Narberth in the dark! You had to find 10 glowing spheres using a map and get your card stamped, all while being chased by ‘wolves’. Good, muddy fun was had by all, with Tom finishing in 2hrs 3mins, followed by Tracey and David in 2hrs 9mins. Well done!
LIMASSOL MARATHON - CYPRUS
Well done to member Michael Matthews, running for his Parc Bryn Back Running Club, in a time of 3hrs 59 mins 26 secs! This is a fast and flat course, starting at Molos Park, then along the coast to the old city of Limassol and the port, past the famous ‘Forest Tunnel’ and the Ancient Kingdom City of Amathus, back to Molos Park.
GREEN MAN
Well done to member Kes Aleknavicious having completed his fourth Green Man around the city of Bristol. The weather conditions were extreme, with snow and bitterly cold winds - but Kes is made of stern stuff!
