Well done Aces for past weekend events:
Gower Trail Marathon: Emma Richards in 6hrs 40. The event started and finished in Rhossili running along the stunning coastal path to Llangennith, down to Oxwich and Port Eynon and through mud, bogs and soft sand - sounds fun!
Green Man 45-Mile Challenge: Kes Aleknavicius in a time of 9hrs 31, taking in the sights and sounds around Bristol.
Severn Bridge 5km Run: Vicky Jones came second in her age group and won a bottle of wine - better than a medal Also well done to Vicky and her relay team running in Brecon at the Gwent Cross Country Event for her Aberdare Club. Well done to Richard Gardiner and Iwan Gardiner on their runs at this event for their Aberdare Club.
Remembrance Sunday: The Aces were proud that Seren Barrett, one of our young members, laid our wreath at the Cenotaph in Tenby last week. Our club ride was organised to reach the War Memorial at the top of Freshwater West hill by 11 am, so we could pay our respects. Fifteen of us stood around the memorial, along with a few others, for the two-minute silence.
Aces bobble hats: Our new Aces bobble hats ‘landed’ this week. Many thanks to Anto for organising and modelling hers. For those who have ordered one, please contact Anto.
• For our club sessions, please see our website www.giltar-hotel .co.uk and our Facebook page. A reminder to contact Nicola to give her your meal choice for our Annual Christmas Presentation Lunch to be held at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby, at 3 pm, on Sunday, December 10.
