Some of the activities members of the Aces were involved in last weekend:

Carmarthen Junior Tri - Sam Morris 50m swim, 11km cycle and 600m run situated in Carmarthen Leisure Centre. Sam is part of the Junior Tri Stars Club run by Sion Jenkins.

Bowood Sprint Tri - Hayden Johns came 10th overall, 750m swim, 21km cycle and 5km run held on the Bowood House Estate in Wiltshire.

Bristol Night Ride - Wayne Diggy Duigan, 100km ride.

Dartmoor Classic Sportive - Emma Jayne Richards, 67-mile cycle in the Dartmoor National Park.

Half Ironman 70.3 Edinburgh - David Meyrick in 5hrs 58mins, Billy Connor in 6hrs 9mins, Gareth Rees in 6hrs 29min and Andy Adamson 6hrs 41mins. The 1.2 mile swim was reduced to a 950m swim due to the rough sea conditions in Preston Links (North Sea - brrrrr!). A 56-mile cycle through the Lothians, finishing with a 13.1 mile run through Holyrood Park.

Club ride, Tuesday, July 11 - recovery ride after Long Course Weekend - Route 2 (up Milton Hill): New Hedges, Devonshire Drive, Redberth, Sageston, Carew, Milton Hill, The Ridgeway, Lamphey, Jameston, Lydstep, Tenby (approx 22 miles). Sweepers - Tracey Thomas and Dave Poole.

Thursday, July 13 - Route 57 (Deer Park Lane and Cresswell Quay): Tenby, Gumfreston, turn left after Heatherton for St. Florence, turn right at bus shelter onto Dingle, then left on Coal Lane up to Ridgeway, turn right then right towards Milton Hill, left into Deer Park Lane to Pembroke, turn right up Bush Hill, right into Buttermilk, left down Myletts Hill, across A477 to Cosheston, Paskeston Lane, Milton, left to Carew, up to Whitehill, left to Cresswell Quay, 2nd right to Cresselly, across main road to Jeffreyston, Broadmoor traffic lights, left to Templebar Rd, right at Pentlepoir, New Hedges and Tenby (approx. 28 miles). Sweepers - John Hubbard and Carlton Coates.

Note that rides will be starting at 6.30 pm from Tenby Leisure Centre car park. Helmets to be worn on all club rides. We ride in three groups, with the aim that no-one gets left behind.
