Saundersfoot Sea Angling Club fished a Rover last Sunday. It was also the first match of the first round of the 2017 Singles KO, sponsored by the Royal Oak, Saundersfoot.
Results were as follows: Nine anglers competed, with fishing marks at Stackpole, Llandshipping, Manorbier and Pendine. Fishing was tough, or at least it was to land legal-sized fish, many small bass being caught and returned. Three anglers weighed in. 1. Andy Young with an LSD of 800g (10 points and £30); 2. Peter Strydom with a flounder to 38cm (eight points and £10); 3. Peter Taylor with another LSD (six points and £5).
Forthcoming events: Sunday, April 16 - Pendine Beach. Sign on at the car park by 1 pm, fishing 2 - 6 pm, weigh-in at the car park by 6.45 pm.
Sunday, May 7 - Ginst. Sign on at the car park by 8 am, fishing 9 am to 1 pm, with scales closing 1.45 pm sharp at the car park.
Sunday, May 28 - Pegged match at Amroth. Sign on by the Castle car park by 12.15 pm, fishing 1 - 5 pm, scales closing 5.45 pm sharp at the car park.
