As we write this, another Coppet Week is underway and a fleet of 75 boats have descended on the village to join the dozen or so local competitors, plus three from Tenby with many old and familiar faces returning, plus a sprinkling of new faces most of who have come here on the recommendation of previous competitors and we hope they will enjoy their visit here.
The clubhouse was packed on Saturday for the commodore’s welcome and the race briefing given by Keith. Unfortunately while Sunday was a lovely sunny day, the lack of wind meant no play that day, but the race team on Monday managed to get two cracking races in to get us back on track which were enjoyed by all.
All the preparations have been completed by a host of volunteers too numerous to mention and all the water and clubhouse rotas have been filled and we are grateful for their support, plus the support and involvement of local businesses in the provision of raffle prizes and the sale of tickets and hopefully our visitors are reciprocating in the support of the local businesses.
A full report will follow next week following the conclusion of what will hopefully be another successful week.
