It was apt that his great nephew Joe Fry played a leading role at prop for the visitors.
Conditions allowed for a great display of rugby from both teams. Tenby dominated the first half with tries from Captain Rhys Grigg, Carl Thomas, Cam Broadhurst and Max Badham. Thomas added eleven points with the boot with some very accurate spot kicks.
At half time and 26-7 up Tenby took their foot off the gas and allowed Fishguard to come back to 21 – 26. Oakley Milton secured the win with a fine individual try and Carl Thomas slotted a key three point penalty to secure a 21-36 result and a date at Heywood Lane to meet Whitland in the final.
The coaching staff of Roland Grigg, Ross Grieve and Aled Waters, supported by Michelle Grigg are now focusing on some hard training sessions in readiness for the challenge that Whitland will bring in the final.
