A controversial try from Matty Morgan helped Tenby reach the top four with a 15-7 win over Milford Haven at Heywood Lane on?Saturday.
The Seasiders have lost twice against Milford Haven in the league and cup this season, but it was Tenby who came out on top in this divivision two west clash.
With just 10 minutes played Thomas banged over a penalty to put the home side in front, then midway through the first half a close range scrum led to flanker Will Swales going over, with Thomas converting.
Tenby extended the lead in the second-half in somewhat controversial circumstances.
During a brawl, between both sets of players, scrum-half Matty Morgan was allowed to take a quick tap penalty and he sped 40 metres to the posts to touch down.
Unfortunately for Thomas he missed the conversion after he slipped over, but at this point it was a long way back for struggling Milford Haven.
They did respond though after a prolonged period in the Tenby 22, which culminated in young winger James Williams touching down in the corner and James Trueman did well to convert from out wide.
Milford couldn’t get another score though and now face a fight to maintain their Division Two status in the closing weeks of the season.
