Whitland 6 pts Penclawdd 13
Whitland’s season of woe continued on Saturday as they went down at home to Penclawdd on Saturday.
Again it was a close affair, with the Borderers losing by just seven points, but they must be wondering when they are going to get a first win under their belts.
Having lost their opening five games in division one west, they now prop up the table, although they do have the advantage of a game in hand on the teams immediately above them.
Their only points in the game came from the boot of Nico Setaro, who landed a penalty in each half, while Penclawdd replied with a try by Jonathan Hughes, converted by Philip Tucker, who was also successful with two penalty goals.
Will tomorrow (Saturday) bring a change of fortune for the Borderers when they travel to take on Aberystwyth, who currently lie fourth in the table with four wins out of six.? It will be tough ask, but surely things must turn around for them soon.
