Whitland made it 14 wins out of 15 starts on Saturday when they overcame north Pembrokeshire rivals Fishguard and Goodwick.
But the Borderers certainly did not have things all their own way as the Seagulls belied their lowly position in Division Two West to put up a brave fight against their promotion-seeking hosts.
In fact, at the break, Whitland only led by 14 points to seven after tries by speedy winger Sean Coles and Jack Mason, with Nico Setaro converting both.
Fishguard replied with a pushover try by Mark George, converted by Andrew Williams, to keep them in the contest and give them some hope going into the second half.
But those hopes were soon dashed as Sean Coles again had the Parc Llywn Ty Gwyn faithful on their feet as he showed his paces to bag his second try of the afternoon, while Scott Lloyd added another, both again converted by the accurate boot of Setaro.
This time the visitors failed to respond, as they were unable to break down the stubborn Whitland defence.
The bonus point victory was an important one for the Borderers as it sees them keep the pressure on Yr Hendy at the top of the table.
Whitland currently lie second, six points adrift of the league leaders, but with two games in hand.
