Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure Ltd) played host to the Power Station Club from Pembroke on Monday evening, in their latest league match, and were 4-1 losers.
The first frame saw captain Glyn Davies play P. Grimwood. Glyn started slowly against a good potter and two mistakes saw his opponent compile breaks of 18 and 31 to win easily.
The second frame saw Darren Morgan play M. Dreadon. Darren started the brighter, but with his opponent in good form, he was up against it. Nevertheless, Darren himself also had his eye in and produced a phenomenal frame to win on the blue (well played).
The third frame saw Martin Durham play P. White. Martin started cautiously, but again his opponent was in fine form, closing the frame out at a canter.
The fourth frame saw Mark Cleevely play G. Aries. Mark started slowly by his normal standards, but then got going, only for a 41-point break by his opponent to put the frame beyond him.
The final frame saw Dean Ludlow play D. King. Dean started well, opening up a good early lead. As the frame progressed, it was close, with Dean slightly ahead, and he was still holding a five-point advantage by the colours. Dean then potted yellow, green and brown to lead by 14, with just the blue, pink and black left on the table. His opponent took the blue and pink, before unfortunately Dean went in-off the black to lose the frame (unlucky).
