Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure Ltd) played host to the Manchester Club on Monday evening, in their latest league match and were 4-1 winners.

The first frame saw Ritchie Preece play J. Greenish. Ritchie, making his debut this year, started cautiously and, despite playing probably their best player, played well, but by mid-frame found himself 17 points behind. He continued to battle and improved as the frame went on, but his opponent was just too good (unlucky).

The second frame saw captain Glyn Davies play D. John. Glyn was in good potting form and, coupled with a bit of good fortune, won at a canter.

The third frame saw Darren Morgan play M. Gardener. Darren was again in good form this week, potting well and closing the frame out comfortably.

The fourth frame saw Dean Ludlow play A. Dundas. Dean started well against another good player. It was nip and tuck up to mid-frame, but then Dean potted some good balls to open up a 14-point lead. He continued to pot well, winning a good frame.

The fifth frame was a walkover, with Martin Durham the victor.

Next match is away to the Martello Club in Pembroke Dock.
