Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure) played away to Hook in the second leg of the Knockout Cup. Being 23 points down after the first leg, Saundersfoot had to concede another 50 points, which left them 73 points overall to make up. This proved too much and they were 320-280 losers.
The first frame saw a returning Dean Ludlow play M. Holder. Dean naturally started slowly, but picked up the pace mid-frame, potting well. He was never behind, as he took the frame by 37 points - Saundersfoot now 36 behind.
The second frame saw Mark Cleevely play J. Davies. This was a close affair, with both players cancelling out each other’s attack. This went all the way, with Mark scraping through by one point. Saundersfoot 35 points down.
The third frame saw Peter Barlow play T. Cox. Steve started really slowly, struggling to find any rhythm. Mid-frame, though, he started to click, potting some good balls, and eventually won by nine points. Saundersfoot 27 points down.
The fourth frame saw Darren Morgan play D. Llewellyn. Darren was in fantastic form again, potting well and winning comfortably by 21 points. Saundersfoot six points down.
The final frame saw captain Glyn Davies play K. Roberts. Unfortunately, Glyn struggled to find any form and eventually lost by 30 points, to leave Saundersfoot 36 down overall.
