Struggling Whitland entertained high-flying Tata Steel and put up a brave performance, before eventually succumbing to the Steelmen.
In fact, the Borderers were all-square at 3-3 at half-time, but couldn't quite sustain the pressure on the visitors as they finally went down by 20-10.
Whitland's points came from a try by second row man Dai Ebsworth, which was converted by outside-half Scott Newton, who also banged over a penalty.
Meanwhile, Narberth must have travelled to Beddau quietly confident of victory, having beaten their opponents at the Lewis Lloyd earlier in the season.
But Beddau obviously had other ideas and once again it was the second period which proved the difference as the home side racked up 26 points without reply.
Before that the Otters had shaken off any travel fatigue to take a two-point lead into the interval, as they had their noses in front at 22-20.
Their points came from tries by fullback Johnny Morgan, number eight Steffan Phillips and centre Richard Davies, two of which were converted by winger James Russell, who also added a penalty.
After that, though, things went downhill for the Otters and their 46-22 defeat meant it was a miserable return journey to Narberth.
Narberth currently lie sixth in the table, while Whitland remain rooted to the bottom, with only one win and a draw all season.
