Kilgetty FC held a junior football tournament on Sunday at Tenby Leisure Centre.
Involving all of their junior members from U7 to U14s, mixed teams from within the club played against each other during the morning, followed by food back at the clubhouse.
Every youngster received a participation medal along with extra prizes given to various winners of the ‘crossbar’ competition held at the halfway stage. Additional prizes were donated by Fair Trade representative, Sharron Hardwick, with all the awards handed out by club chairman Lukas Gamble.
This event was organised by the members of the newly-formed Kilgetty AFC Junior section, headed by Gerry Rigby, Jamie Bessant and all the junior managers and coaches.
The tournament was designed to be just the first of a series of events that the club has planned for over the next few months, including a race night for parents and coaches, and additional football tournaments.
Club chairman Lukas Gamble said: “The club and all the coaches would like to thank the parents for their continuing support for these initiatives. They provide a vital role in our club and we couldn’t continue to provide the high level of our football provision without them.”
