Girls football at Kilgetty AFC has kicked off using Fairtrade footballs, offering great training sessions for Under 14s and Under 16s.

The club is inviting new girls to join them every Tuesday evening at Kilgetty AFC from 6.15 to 7.30 pm.

Sessions are led by Lukas Gamble, professional FAW/UEFA qualified, DBS checked coach, assisted by John, Sian, Andy and Duane.

Opportunities for free one to one training sessions are available on request.

“We are looking to grow the female game,” said Lukas. “Come and get involved. Don’t worry if you’ve never played before. We will give you the opportunity to train, play, enjoy and excel!”

Sharron Hardwick, FAW Level 1 football leader and founder of the Fair Trade In Football campaign is supporting Kilgetty Girls Football by assisting with coaching and providing Fairtrade footballs.

“I highly recommend the sessions and encourage local girls to come along and join us,” she stated. “It’s great Fairtrade football fun, and you’ll get a warm welcome. I appreciate the club’s continued support of Fairtrade which means workers and their families have a better deal.”
