Thunder, lightning, rain and a fierce hailstorm wiped out the much anticipated final of the Harrison-Allen Bowl between Lawrenny and Cresselly, at Cresselly.
After a delayed start, Cresselly had reached 31-1 when the storm came. Lawrenny had claimed the scalp of danger man Dan Sutton for 17, when he was run out by Ryan Morton.
Despite the ceaseless efforts of Richard Arthur and the ground staff team, it soon became clear that the prospect of further play was grim.
Umpires Alan Hansen and Stephen Blowes, in consultation with team captains Joe Kidney and Neilson Cole, together with the ground staff made the sensible decision to call a halt to proceedings.
The final will now be replayed on Sunday, 9th August.
The two innings per side match of 22 overs each will commence at 12.00pm. Admission is £5.00, OAPs £3.00, County Cricket Club vice-presidents and children under 16 free.
