Elements Gymnastics Academy has been established since 2012, and in every competition entered it has been successful.
September through to the end of October has been a very busy season for many gymnasts who have competed in numerous competitions.
The club is developing from strength to strength and has a very bright future ahead for 2016.
Novice and Intermediate Artistic Competition
EGA would like to say a huge well done to all those gymnasts who competed in Novice and Intermediate on Sunday, September 13, at Llanelli Gymnastics Club.
All performed to the best of their ability. There may have been some little errors throughout, but the competitions were all about learning from others, gaining experience and having a=n enjoyable time!
Some gymnasts were awarded with medals and ribbons! The result were as follows:
Intermediate 10/11s: Fabulous overall and individual results! Both gymnasts who were entered were awarded medals and ribbons.
Arabella Hurst was placed fifth overall - well deserved for her performances! And also had a gold medal for her powerful vault, fourth for her brilliant beam routine and also sixth position for her energetic floor routine! Fabulous results.
Ffion Roberts was placed second overall! Amazed she performed so well. She was also placed fourth for her vault, third for her graceful beam routine and second for her fabulous performance on floor!
Jadie, their coach, would like to hugely congratulate them both! They performed magnificently as individuals and also pulled together as a team to help and support one and another! Coach very proud!
Novice 10/11: All gymnasts, Melissa Price, Charlotte Evans, Casey Hayes and Seren Rees, did extremely well! They were all fantastic team-mates and helped each other through the competition with a positive team spirit!
Seren Rees was placed fifth for her strong bars routine, while Casey Hayes was also fifth with her beautiful beam routine!
Well done girls. Your coach Megan is overwhelmed with all your performances and efforts throughout the whole season, training towards this competition and also for becoming the great gymnasts you’ve become!
Novice 8/9: This competition was very tough; there were many talented gymnasts in the competition.
All gymnasts, Ffion Canton, Ffion Evans, Seren Holiday, Molly Harries, Alexi Young and Ffion Bowen, had a brilliant competition, both individually and with a great team spirit throughout.
Huge well done to Ffion Evans for being placed fifth overall, meaning she was selected to go through to the Welsh Finals with her new team of other gymnasts from Swansea and Llanelli Gym Clubs representing the West Area!
She was also placed second for her perfect beam routine, fifth for her joyful floor routine and fifth again for her clean bars routine!
Ffion Canton was placed fifth for her wonderful beam routine, where she performed with much improved confidence! Also sixth for her beautiful joyful floor routine.
Ffion Bowne was placed fifth for her powerful vault. Well done!
Ffion Evans and Ffion Canton’s coach Jadie Edwards was absolutely overwhelmed with their fabulous performances and confidence throughout the competition. They both truly deserved their medallist positions.
Seren Rees, Molly Harries, Alexi Young and Ffion Bowne’s coaches Megan Hickling and Suzanne Wakefield are so proud of the gymnasts. They have developed into wonderful gymnasts from all the hard training and efforts they put in throughout the holidays! For most it was their first artistic competition and they couldn’t have performed any better!
Well done gymnasts, all coaches are very proud of you all!
Novice Welsh Championships
A huge well done to the girls in the West Area team for being placed in the silver seond position!
Well done to Ffion Evans who was one of those amazing gymnasts!
She performed very well throughout; it was a very tough competition and she is ready to start working towards the next.
Coach Jadie Edwards was extremely proud of her and was happy to see her gymnast’s confidence and self-belief grow from strength to strength!
Huge well done
Club Preparation Grades 5,6,7s
EGA would like to say a huge well done to all those gymnasts who competed in the Preparation Grades 5,6,7s on Sunday, September 27, at Llanelli Gymnastics Club.
Some gymnasts were awarded medals and ribbons! The results were as follows:
Club 9 - age 5 : Libby Smith came 3rd on bars, 6th on beam, 5th on R+C and 4th position overall. Liliwen Williams came 4th on bars.
The team, Libby Smith, Hollie Bayne and Liliwen Williams, were awarded 3rd position overall. They worked very well as a team throughout the competition.
Club 8 - age 6: Seren Barrett came 5th on bars and 6th on floor. Emily Barry came 5th on beam. Georgie Evans came 6th on beam, 4th on floor and 5th position overall. Anna May came 2nd in the vault.
Rosabelle Chatwin and Megan Roberts performed their best throughout, but well done to the four who were in the team, Seren Barrett, Emily Barry, Georgie Evans and Anna May, for being awarded with a team third position.
Club 7 - age 7: This was a very tough competition with there being so many in this category, who all performed to the best of their ability.
Jessica Shiels came 5th on R+C and 6th position overall.
EGA are proud of you all, Hazel Lister, Bronwen Lee and Jessica Shiels. Well done.
“I (Jadie) would like to say a huge well done and thank you to Suzanne for coaching all the 5,6,7 gymnasts. They were all a pleasure to watch and judge. The planning and time that Suzanne has put into her gymnasts has shown and been proven by their fantastic development in skills, routines and performance. EGA are very proud of Suzanne for being a brilliant coach! I’m sure all the gymnasts would be very grateful.”
Coach - Suzanne: “I want to say a huge well done to all the gymnasts who competed on Sunday. I know it wasn’t an easy competition as there were so may gymnasts, but you all performed brilliantly and I couldn’t be prouder of you all! I understand that not all of you received a medal, but that doesn’t matter, as it’s all about doing your best and having fun. I would like to say a huge well done to those as well who did receive a medal/ribbon as they were well deserved.
“Back to gym now gymnasts, let’s keep up the good work and good consistent training towards our next competition.”
