The AGM took place earlier this week in the clubhouse and after the various reports were presented by the officials, the following members were elected to represent the club for the next twelve months:

President Ann Lewis, Chairman Myrddin Dennis, Vice Chairperson Diane Rigden, Secretary and County Delegate Stephanie Amos, Treasurer David Davies, Competition Secretary Fixture Secretary and County Delegate Paul Blayney, Club Captain Sue Roden, Club Vice Captain Graham Hughes, County Delegates Berwyn Dennis and Gemma Amos, other committee members Joe Dennis, Steve Dick, Christine Harris and Val James.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS

Various fundraising activities have been planned for the months ahead.

The annual Christmas Prize Bingo evening will take place at the club on Thursday, December 6 at 7 pm with ‘eyes down’ at 7.30 pm. All are welcome to attend.

On the day of the New Year’s Day swim, the club will be open from 11 am with food and liquid refreshments available.

There will be another mystery evening in January, at a date to be confirmed, where you will again be tasked with trying to guess who the murderer is.

Finally, the popular Quiz will be held on Thursday, February 7.

SAD NEWS

The club was saddened to learn last week of the passing of long time member and supporter Mrs. Angela Roberts.

The funeral took place last Tuesday and sympathy is extended to Graham and all the family.

DENNIS REED

Dennis Reed has suffered an accident which will incapacitate him for several weeks.

I don’t know how the many local organisations that he supports will possibly manage for the next few months but let’s hope that he is soon back in action and regaling us once more with his inimitable characterisations.
