Saundersfoot continued their perfect start to their Division One league campaign last Saturday with a fourth straight win, defeating a resilient Five Arches team from Tenby by 10 shots.
Rink scores with Saundersfoot first and Five Arches skips only were:

On Sunday, the squad travel to play Haverfordwest, with a 2 pm start.
ST. BRIDES 18 PEMBROKE DOCK 17
The St. Brides Meyrick Owen team gained another win last week when they played at home to Pembroke Dock and won by the narrowest of margins.
The rink consisted of Paul Sneyd, Dave Hicks, Ken James and Brian Dooley and the next fixture for the team is on Thursday, June 30, when they will play St. Kats, of Milford, at 2 pm.
PRESIDENT’S COUNTY FRIENDLY
This year’s men’s Pembrokeshire County Bowling Association president Paul Blayney played his first friendly last week against the Welsh Civil Service at his home green Saundersfoot.
On a glorious afternoon, the county team won by four shots, with the prize for top score of the day going to Paul himself, who skipped George Cavell, John Dugmore and Brian McKehon to a 19 shots to 11 win.
MARGARET BRYANT RINKS COMPETITION
The West Wales Ladies Bowling Association held their annual one day rinks tournament last weekend and congratulations to Kath Blayney, Sandra Ingerson, Amanda Lewis and Beryl Lewis for winning the event, defeating Gwen McFarland’s Fishguard team in the final.
Their trophy will be presented to them at the WWLBA dinner and AGM in the autumn.
LADIES TEAMS
The two ladies teams of the club went head-to-head on Monday, with Saundersfoot and St. Issell’s winning one rink each and Saundersfoot gaining the overall win.
St. Issell’s played another game last week and defeated Fishguard, taking all six points.
A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
With members vying to get the most attractive and best kept plot on the surrounds of the green, there will be a special social evening on Friday, August 4, when the winner will be announced.
Judging will be taking place at the end of July, so keep those greenfingers working!
