A thirteen-year-old girl from Tenby has enjoyed further musical success this year to add to an ever growing list of awards.

Elizabeth Morgan of Tenby was awarded a Distinction in Grade 7 Practical Piano by The London College of Music. The assessment was online owing to the current health crises.

The LCM and ABRSM run in parallel and hold the same UCAS Points.

Elizabeth started learning piano at age 5 with Royal College of Music graduate, Jan Hartzell from Saundersfoot.

She has won many awards in various piano festivals and recitals over the years, including - the Mid Somerset Festival, Bristol Festival of Music Speech and Drama, Fishguard International Music Festival, AFYM, and others.

At the 2018 Valero Pembrokeshire Secondary School Music Festival Elizabeth was adjudicated as The Open Piano Winner also Overall Festival Winner (all instruments and voice).

At age 11, and after only three months at high school, this was an unprecedented achievement.

At the 2015 Valero Pembrokeshire Primary School Music Festival Elizabeth was adjudicated as The Open Piano Winner also Overall Festival Winner (all instruments and voice).

At age 8, she was the youngest ever winner in the history of the Festival.

Elizabeth’s ambition is to become an architect with music as an additional subject.
