Narberth's winter carnival committee were given a pat on the back by town councillors for organising a successful event on Saturday.

"Congratulations to the town crier who did a marvellous job and the winter carnival committee, who with only a skeleton staff, did a lot of good work to put on the event," said Clr. Colin Williams.

The Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers, also said she and Mayoress, Clr. Mrs. Denise Rigby, had 'thoroughly enjoyed' themselves.

"There were crowds of people here who enjoyed the event," she said.

Clr. Mrs. Sue Rees also said that everyone had said how 'lovely' the town's Christmas lights were.
