The Whitland and District ATC joined together with local veterans to honour and remember the sacrifice made by others for us in conflicts over the years on Remembrance Sunday.

Following a short dedication at the memorial garden in Parc Dr Owen in Whitland with some poignant words from Cadet Sargeant Taylor, the squadron marched through Whitland to St Marys Church for the service of remembrance.

It was an excellent turnout by the group on this important day and the town’s Mayor Barry Chapman said that he was really grateful to the local ATC for their part in the Memorial Services.

The occasion honours the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, the civilian servicemen and women involved in the two World Wars and later conflicts.

Every year the town unites with people across the country to make sure that no-one is forgotten and to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.
