Several Members of Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club recently spent an enjoyable weekend visiting their Twin Club in Fontenay Le Comte in the Vendee region of France.

They were hosted by the French Rotarians and their families and greeted by their President Christian.

During the stay the group visited the Chateaux Terre Neuve in Fontenay a very impressive family Chateaux open to the public.

Also during the weekend visit members attended the Rotary meeting during which Vice President Elect Elaine Bradbury presented the President of the Club with a picture of Narberth that was signed by President David Haward who was unable to join this exchange.

Narberth and Whitland Rotary club has been twinned with Fontenay Le Comte Rotary club for over 25 years and alternate between visits to France and visits to Wales every other year.

In July the town of Fontenay Le Comte is hosting the finish of the first Stage of this year’s Tour De France.
