Services to Agriculture Award

The recipient for the Pembroke Farmers Club Services to Agriculture for this year was made an Associate of the Royal Agricultural Societies in 2013 and then a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Societies (FRAGS) in 2018.

He has attended every Pembroke Farmers Club show since he was born and became a member nearly 50 years ago, following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps.

He has not missed setting up and taking down after a show.

The first chief steward he worked under was the late George Mathias of Summerton Farm, then it was David John of Lammaston Farm, when DR became president in 2011 he handed the chief steward’s job over.

The shield was awarded to David Phillips, of Windsor Farm at the AGM and dinner, held at Trefloyne Manor on Monday, December 4.
