New Year celebrations are set to go off with a bang again in Tenby to see in 2020, thanks to one of the town centre’s public houses.
In correspondence that went before Tenby town council at their meeting on Tuesday night, Lesley Fisher licensee of Tenby House Hotel, confirmed that they would be providing the popular New Year’s Eve fireworks display again for festive revellers that enter Tudor Square at midnight.
The town council in the past has agreed to fund the insurance cost for the display, and councillors fully supported doing so again this year, with members unanimously agreeing to contribute £400 towards the costs of the insurance for the display.
“It’s for the benefit of the whole town,” remarked Clr. Trevor Hallett in welcoming the proposal.
