Tenby Youth Club has received a boost from town councillors with a view to helping the organisation develop a garden project at the premises.

Members of Tenby Town Council recently agreed to donate £350 towards the purchase of a ‘summer house’ for the club, with the town clerk, Andrew Davies, confirming at their meeting on Tuesday night that the club did not require planning permission for the facility.

The Youth Club, which is in the process of redeveloping its garden area so it can be a ‘safe, accessible and fun’ place for all young people that attend, are due to meet with town councillors ahead of their next meeting for a Q and A session.

Mr. Davies also said that the club had asked for a town councillor to pair up with one of their committee members to be a part of a ‘Great Bake-Off’ event being hosted in August by Milford Youth Council.

“If I can bring the Mayoress with me, then I’d be up for it... as long as she does all the cooking!” joked the Mayor. Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane.
