“What a brilliant turnout!” they added: “record crowds, a wonderful atmosphere, and fun for all the family from start to finish.

“It was a real honour for the Mayor to start the races and see such incredible community spirit in support of our lifesaving service.

“Special mention to Stormy Stan, who was very keen to make sure the Mayor knew he definitely didn’t cheat… although we’re not sure everyone is convinced!

“Well done to everyone who took part, helped organise, volunteered, and cheered from the sidelines.

“Thank you for your continued support of our RNLI — it truly makes a difference.

“Same time next year?”

Tenby Lifeboats RNLI thanked everyone who turned out in Tudor Square for the Pancake Race. “Whether you took part, or just spectated, we hope you had as much fun as we did!”
