A three-piece Tenby band are set to ‘rock the castle’ on Friday, July 14, alongside two bands that have graced the Top 10.
Vicetrack a young modern rock band based in Tenby, incorporate electronic dance beats into their innovative rock sound.
Formed in 2014 the band have gone on to impress audiences from the tourist hub of Tenby to the packed out clubs of Swansea, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil and beyond.
The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Christian Dean, bassist and vocalist Jamie Dean, and drummer Josh Dean.
Brothers Jamie and Josh have just finished their last year at Ysgol Greenhill School in Tenby, while their cousin Christian has previously attended Llandovery College prior to attending Coleg Sir Gar and finishing his last year at the Coleg in recent months.
Vicetrack’s influences include Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, Flume, Twenty One Pilots and Muse.
The band provides a pumping atmosphere with catchy hooks in their live performances, and the boys are really looking forward to performing at Pembroke Castle tonight supporting household names The Fratellis and Toploader, where they will play their original material.
Best-known for their infectious top 10 hit Chelsea Dagger, The Fratellis shot to fame in 2006 with their debut album Costello Music, which spent 83 weeks in the top 100 of the UK charts, and included hits Henrietta and Whistle For The Choir, winning them the Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act in 2007.
Toploader, one of the definitive bands of the Britpop era are responsible for the global hit Dancing in the Moonlight, which spent over a year in the European Airplay Charts.
WE-ARE-Z will provide support too at Friday’s concert which will kick start the ‘Rock the Castle’ weekend, that also features The Bootleg Beatles, The Bootleg Beach Boys, and the live stage performance of Horrible Histories: The Best of Barmy Britain.
