Gentlemen of South Pembrokeshire - are you struggling to pick an achievable New Year’s Resolution for 2022?

Forget the diets and the gym, (most of us have!) Why not sing instead - as Tenby Male Choir currently have vacancies in most choir sections.

Founded in 1975, Tenby Male Choir has grown from strength to strength down the years - not just in chorister numbers but also in it’s musical reputation.

Tenby’s acclaimed Male Choir has also raised many thousands of pounds for charities and worthy causes in its history.

“Don’t worry if you’ve not sung in a choir before or can’t read music - you don’t even have to be Welsh-speaking either (although these do help). As long as you can sing in tune, you could be a useful asset - we’ll help with the rest through training and rehearsal,” explained Mike Roch of the Choir.

“The Covid pandemic has disrupted the life of choirs worldwide over the last couple of years, but since regrouping last summer we have adopted best practice procedures to keep each other safe.

“Every Chorister is fully vaccinated and takes a Lateral Flow Test before each practice. “We meet at the well ventilated Augustus Place Community Centre in Tenby, where we sanitise on arrival, mask while mixing and sit or stand well apart while singing.

“Working hard in concert and rehearsal, we also have fun with a beer afterwards and enjoy the camaraderie you’d expect from a group of like-minded blokes whilst helping raise money for very worthwhile charities and causes

“So instead of just singing in the bath or shower, why not drop an email to the Secretary at [email protected] and we’ll arrange for you to come along and have a listen to us in rehearsal,” he added.
